Not to totally hijack the main idea of the thread. But random glows could be disenchanted into totally useless "grey item" shards, which would have the same df/silver value as the item before it was destroyed. Only the essence would be near weightless, and a better option than lugging around ...

What do you think about such an idea to spice up the shifters:
Wounded:
1) More damage on wounded spots (depends on graveness)
2) Improve wound: improves the existent wound state
I think tweaking wounds in general would be a good thing, not just for shifters.

perhaps i have missunderstood something, but what i am trying to say is that maintenance on a weapon should stick. yet no matter how many times in a row (without fighting inbetween) i still can work on my weapon over and over again and it says the same thing.

The prompt you get about the weapon needing maintenance is not a bug I think. You will only get that when trying to maintain a weapon which doesn't need it. (or when it actually runs out mid-battle) I guess the reason is that weapon maintenance removes the "sharp" status from a weapon, so it can ...

Massive leather sacks
Was thinking about loot containers when I updated my gigantic looting macro. Most people carry like 2-3 looting sacks? Maybe even more on the B'rogh or Firbolg players.
Also maybe having a bunch of sacks is inefficient or spammy for the server, for example my looting alias.

Maybe a solution to the mid/low level eq problem is not creating eq mobs as such. But tweaking the glow system to now and then drop something fairly rare and useful to players. This system would save coding areas and eq mobs.
