Wilder potions are extremely potent magical liquids which, upon imbibed, will persist in their effect until the next reincarnation of the imbiber. Game mechanically speaking wilder liquids are 'game modifiers' with some 'deal with the devil' attitude. They all work generically by taking away something from your character in exchange for something else. The effect of liquid lasts on your character until your character's next reinc and there is no way to revert the liquid's effect on you otherwise. So you can ruin your reinc with these liquids, if you're not careful. Specifics: You can get the effects of one specific liquid only once per reinc, so there is no use in drinking the same liquid twice in a same reinc, as you will only end up wasting the powerful liquid. However, you can have more than one liquid in effect at any time, e.g. you can drink liquid of iron and liquid of fire and their effects will combine on your character for the duration of your reinc. If your character has active wilder liquids swirling in his bloodstream, they will be visible in your character's score and whois. There are currently four types of wilder potions known. = Liquid of Iron = A virulent pathogen which will make your death much more frightening but battles more rewarding. Effect: -- each of your kills will yield you +5% more experience -- you can lose up to 20M of experience upon death (normally this maximum is 2M) = Liquid of Fire = This pathogen will merge your spirit with volatile nature of fire, giving your spellcasting abilities unpredictability which can sometimes save your day, or be your demise. Effect: -- each time you cast an offensive spell, 2D6 is rolled: on result of... 2: the power of your offensive spell dissipates completely. 3: the power of your offensive spell is reduced by 80%. 4: the power of your offensive spell is reduced by 60%. 5: the power of your offensive spell is reduced by 30%. 6: the power of your offensive spell is reduced by 10%. 7: no effect 8: the power of your offensive spell is boosted by 10%. 9: the power of your offensive spell is boosted by 30%. 10: the power of your offensive spell is boosted by 60%. 11: the power of your offensive spell is boosted by 80%. 12: the power of your offensive spell is doubled. '''''THIS POTION EFFECT HAS BEEN DISABLED FOR NOW''''' = Liquid of Blood = The imbiber of this potion will gain more experience in battle, but in return hemorrhages a lot and will be harder to heal. Effect: -- each of your kills will yield you +10% more experience -- healing spells function on you with only 50% efficiency -- you will hp, ep and sp regen at only 50% rate = Liquid of Famine = The imbiber of this potion will gain more experience in battle, but in return receives double damage in all combat. Effect: -- each of your kills will yield you +10% more experience -- you receive double damage in all combat [[category:Player's_Handbook]]
