This spell is offensive.

Bane of the living is a very similar spell to the spell Soulburn. It also attacks the bond between the soul and body which all living creatures have. Instead of damaging just one opponent this spell attacks everyone in priest's vicinity though. Though as the spell affects many creatures at once it doesn't become more effective if the target is already damaged like Soulburn does. If the priest has his minion along he is able to channel some of the severed lifeforce into his minion which allows it to quickly repair and mend itself.
