Volunteer with us
Icesus is built and maintained entirely by volunteers. We always need more — especially wizards (builders and coders), but every contribution helps.
Become a wizard
Wizards build the world: they design areas, write quests and monsters, code new guilds and game systems, run events, and welcome new players. We are always looking for new wizards.
What we look for:
- Ideas — preferably original ones — for areas, monsters, quests, or game systems that fit the world of Aegic
- Good written English (essential for builders — area and monster descriptions must be clear and well-written)
- Dedication: wizarding is a long-term volunteer commitment
- Some coding experience helps but is not required — we can teach you LPC
How to apply:
- Play Icesus and learn the world. We require your character to reach level 25 before applying (special exceptions exist for mudlib or systems work).
- Find a wizard willing to sponsor you. Join the in-game
codingchannel and take part in discussions — that is the natural place to meet wizards and show your interest. - Your sponsor takes your application into the formal process and guides you through the next steps.
For full details, type help wizzing in-game once you have a character. Questions can also go to admins@icesus.org or our Discord.
