This spell is offensive.

This immensely powerful spell tears open a rift to the plane of death. From that tear a burst of chaotic death magic is likely to escape. Luckily a powerful caster is able to twist those magics to his needs.

A net of torment is weaved from the magic and set upon the victim. The net pierces into the victim's true being, deep into the bone and marrow and to the spirit of the target and breaks the connections between the soul and the vessel. 

This terrible ability is able to pierce one's resistance to the element of fire. Those skilled in piercing fire ward greatly benefit from that experience.
