Mind surge was initially developed by an unknown psionicist who was
intrigued by the different aspects of psychic venom. The psionicist was
able to find a way to open up a link between the evoker and the target
which would stay open as long as the evoker would have the psychic strength
to maintain the link. 

At first the link did nothing but after having travelled with a bunch of water 
priests the psionicist noticed that he was able to use similar techniques of 
channeling to send out strong surges of his own will across the link for
devastating effect. After the bunch of water priests, with their faces horribly 
twisted after the experiments of the psionicist, laid dead on his feet he knew 
he had developed a strong weapon against even the mightiest of foes.
 
Sadly, he didn't have much time to enjoy his new found ability when Noemitrax 
decapitated him in front of thousands of Cenedoiss citizens.
 
The knowledge of this evocation was believed to be lost for ages, but the will 
of a strong, yet crazy mind can never be underestimated. Just before when
Noemitrax struck the killing blow on the psionicist he managed to transfer his 
conciousness to an innocent bystander girl, but this time something was odd. 
After he had moved his counciousness to reside within the girls brain, he felt 
restrained and it felt like his mind would have been controlled by someone else. 
Rhirald had heard of the abomination and knew what a truly powerful mind could
do so he confined the psionicist inside the brain of an autistic young girl. 

Thus, the knowledge was not lost, but confined so that the psionicist latter
named as Ormael, was not able to utter even a single easy evocation.
Rhirald however, was able to freely study the mental pathways, memories and
doings of Ormael, with or without his consent. This spell is only thought
to the most capable practitioners of the psionic forces and should never be
underestimated.
