Play in Your Browser[edit]
The easiest way to play Icesus is directly in your web browser — no download needed.
- Go to Icesus Web Client
- Click Create a character or enter your existing character name
- Choose a name and follow the character creation prompts
- You're in the game!
The web client works on any modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) including mobile devices.

Connect with a MUD Client[edit]
If you prefer a dedicated MUD client for more control, use any of these:
- Mudlet — popular, free, cross-platform
- TinTin++ — lightweight terminal client for Linux/Mac
- MUSHclient — Windows classic
Connect to: icesus.org port 4000
Your First Steps[edit]
When you first enter the game, you'll go through character creation:
- Choose your race — each race has different strengths. Humans are a solid starting choice.
- Choose your guild — this is your class. Some good starter guilds:
- Templars of the Righteous Fire — melee fighters with healing
- Priests of the Air — powerful healers
- Rangers of the Wilderlands — versatile outdoors fighters
- Enter the world — you'll start in the city of Vaerlon
Survival Basics[edit]
Once you're in the game, here are the essential commands:

Getting Started with Combat[edit]
Icesus is a party-based game. You'll want to:
- Find the newbie area — from Vaerlon center, follow signs to the training grounds
- Type
consider <monster>— to see if a monster is safe to fight - Attack with
kill <monster>— combat is automatic once started - Heal up — rest between fights or use healing spells/skills
