Spell point cost: 112 Intelligence, Wisdom and Forbidden lore help in casting this spell. Affiliated stats: Primary: constitution Secondary: strength Tertiary: intelligence This spell is related to elemental Anti-magic. Some vampire bloodlines have their own unique talents. Bloodline abilities, they are sometimes called. For Brelasean, one of theirs is their intuitive comprehension of the devouring force. A force that seeks out strength to make it its own. By being in control of such a force, Brelasean casters enjoy a wide range of benefits for the different ingenious uses of that force. The nature of the devouring force is its hunger, for all things. The devouring force is linked to its caster, and sometimes spreading it around can have an impact on the caster's abilities to hold on to magical energies. The following modes have been discovered for the spell so far: cast devouring force at room <- this is the default untargeted mode. Shrouds the room with passive devouring force mist. This amplifies further castings of devouring force and provides vitae when wounds bleed. The mist has an upkeep if you are not present, but provides a spellpoint regen bonus to its caster when in the same location. The mist expires if left alone for long enough. You can recast it to reabsorb the mist after you no longer need it. cast devouring force at <target> to envelop Envelops target with a draining damage over time effect that provides rejuvenation for the caster when present. This effect also strengthens further castings of devouring force on affected targets. Also helps to breach physical and asphyxiation resistance on target. Has an upkeep. Resisted through asphyxiation and physical protection. Can be recast to absorb, but wears off on its own if left alone. cast devouring force at <target|enemies> to drain Offensive blast mode for asphyxiation damage. Augmented by room-mist / enveloped target / reaved target. cast devouring force at <target|enemies> to devour Draining aoe blast that needs 1 or more of: room-mist/enveloped target/reaved target. This mode reabsorbs room-mists/enveloping effects/ends reave defences effects and gains a boost to its damage accordingly. cast devouring force at <target> to erode Single target blast that reaves defences. Further amplified by room-mist/enveloped target/reave defences. cast devouring force at <target> to protect Envelops targets with a protective layer of devouring force, which mitigates physical damage and transforms mitigated damage into rejuvenation for the caster. You can set proc chance via "scion_cmd protective chance <percent> " Higher proc chance setting -> lower mitigation amount and vice versa. Recast at target to absorb. Has an upkeep. Wears off on its own if left alone. This spell is related to elemental Anti-magic. [[category:spells]][[category:scion spells]]
