This skill is learnable by doing up to 80%.

You can grapple enemies to reduce their combat effectiveness. There are many different ways to grapple a foe, tough some may not be usable against very large or small foes or might require more strength or dexterity than you have. Once you have grappled a foe you may find it easier to improve your hold by grappling again. Holds available to you are:

limb grab : With this hold you can seize hold of an opponent's arm, leg, or whatever they have. This makes them more awkward in combat. It will take all of your hands to accomplish this, but you can still kick them.
... and some more that are too difficult for you to even worry about.

You can grapple with commands like...

 battle -m grapple at orc  -- try to get any hold on orc
 battle -m grapple at head lock -- try to improve your hold to
 battle -m grapple at orc to head lock -- try to get a head lock on the orc
