{{prestigious monster |longdesc = This monstrosity is truly a jaw-dropping sight. It is gargantuan in size and yet looks humanoid, but every inch of it is shielded by a crystalline like skin, which is seemingly impenetrable. It has been rumoured that the powerful shards which can be occasionally found can have the ability to corrupt ones body if exessively fiddled with. This humanoid creature is perhaps the maker of this temple, corrupted by the powers residing within the shards and now it only lives to find and consume as many shards as possible. It has been lured here by the sheer magical aura of the shards laid upon the altar. It moves sluggishly, but then again what does it has to fear in this realm or another? |name = Ioc'thual, the ancient shard beast }}
