The first skill that an apprentice mage learns is the magic lore, which is
the base skill for every mage, because it helps them to understand the
magic, and get some information of the progress of their spells, and also
with high knowledge of this skill the odds of casting the spell
successfully are increased, maybe even dramatically. Also, it is said that
sometimes it also helps even to score critical offensive spells.
