Shadow strike is the feared dagger-based fighting maneuver of the
Shadowdancers, making them capable of inflicting terrible damage and pain
on their poor victims. The maneuver itself uses almost all the skills and
abilities of the shadowdancers, for instance their profession in the
martial arts, daggers and piercing weapons are essential for making them
able to hit successfully on the foe, and it's said that an experienced
shadowdancer can continue his succesful strike with a fierce kick or a
strong headbutt, if he's also skilled in those skills, thus making them
extremely efficient killers. It is also told that a skilled thrower may
instantly hurl his weapon at a foe after a successful shadow strike, but
one would probably need quite a lot of knowledge in throwing, its mastery,
uncanny adroitness and even vital points. You can only perform this skill
with piercing-type swords.
