Survey the nearby outworld for locations of interest, or
check the resource state of a province tile.
Usage: survey - show nearby landmarks (outworld)
- show tile pool state (province)
survey coordinates - show your current coordinates
survey submit <name> - submit a new location for review
In the outworld, this lists known landmarks within range and their
direction. Some landmarks refer to a wider area tied to a single
point. Not all landmarks are marked.
Inside a province, survey reports the tile's resource state
(lush / worked / thinning / cleared, or rich / quarrying /
worked out / spent for rocky ground), including the dominant
species for forested tiles, the ore type for mining tiles,
and which buildings would gain a site bonus here based on
the original land.
If you have the geology skill, survey on a province mining
tile runs a multi-stage geological reading instead. Each
tier of geology lets you read deeper into the earth and
produces a more detailed paper report — one slip per survey,
transferable. Mastery is required to read the deepest
stratum reliably. A tile that has had a mine collapse on it
is locked from survey and rebuilding until the strata settle.
Submissions are reviewed by administration before appearing.
Use the 'creator' command inside an area to find its proper name.
