Usage: brief
brief reset
brief raise
brief lower
The brief command toggles your verbosity setting. If you are in verbose
mode you will see the long description of a room when you enter it, or
look in it. In short mode, you will see the short descriptions and a map
if available. In brief mode, you will see the short description, which is
shorter but less detailed. Typing brief will change your mode and tell
you the new mode.
Additionally, to help with your MUD client...
brief reset --- go back to verbose mode, no matter what
brief raise --- increase your 'brevity level'
brief lower --- decrease your 'brevity level'
When you 'brevity level' is above zero, you will get brief output. You can
use this for nested macros in your MUD client. You probably don't want to
mix bare 'brief' commands in with your 'brevity level' commands. The
behavior resists sane definition.
