Metalworking involves the working with fine metals such as platinum, gold and silver to make fine pieces of work such as rings, earrings, necklaces and also clasps for gemstones, which can be attached to equipment. The attachment of gemstones onto equipment has two main benefits. The first benefit is that the value of the equipment increases quite substantially and is pleasing to the eye. The other benefit is the opportunity of enchanting the equipment by awakening the gemstone's inner power. For more details of the process, read 'help spell enchant gem'.
