Khazakul

Khazakul is the kingdom of the dwarves. Its halls are carved into the mountains of Ember Valley.

In the great war the dwarves stood as the shield of Valkor. They held on to the ground for which they had shed tears of blood, and the land is now theirs.

Forge-fire lights every hall. The dwarves are known for the craftsmanship of their weapons and for the warriors who wield them. A young dwarf learns the weight of a hammer and an axe before learning to read the runes carved into the stone.

Grudges are remembered for generations, and so are debts of honour. People say the endurance of Khazakul outlasts the mountain itself.
