Tyranus

Tyranus is the Hegemony of the Eye. It is ruled by ancient orbs that the old tongues call eye tyrants, and its name comes from them.

The Hegemony is xenophobic. It seeks out every lifeform it meets and enslaves it, and it spreads like a disease. Its slaves come from many races, and once enslaved they are never converted back. Its slave-driven armies are feared across the known realms.

Its stronghold is the Iron Castle in Glimmering Gates, in the Heartlands.

Those who grow up in the Hegemony learn to endure heat, cold and hunger without complaint, and to keep forbidden knowledge to themselves. Curiosity draws an orb's attention faster than defiance does. The Hegemony does not forgive escape, and it does not forget a face.
