Okka
Okka is the dead god of Magic. Okka is called "it".
It was one of the five gods of the Elements, beside Albila, Zrammas, Dhubr and Pthuule. In the old war it sided with Albila against Zrammas. Fire was the stronger, and Okka was destroyed. Mages say: "Fire killed Okka." See History.
The death of a god releases a great deal of energy. Okka's death tore a rift in space, and Albila used the rift to feed her own power. Okka's divine essence spread through the world, and magic has had no god since.
When Okka died, its priests believed their power had died too, and many of them went mad. One priest, an elf named Llemnar, found that magic still answered anyone who studied it hard enough. He taught the first mages in Vaerlon, and the Mages of Valkor are their heirs. The Priests of water kept some old secrets of Okka's magic from the time of the alliance.
Magic has no church today. The Channelers of Water try to calm the mana flows that Okka's death left unsteady.
