Province missions

Province councils offer jobs to players who help their settlements. You can work without owning a province or joining its council.

Find and accept a job

1. Type mission search to find available work across provinces.
2. Travel to a settlement and read board at its job board.
3. Use mission register to register as a worker there.
4. Read the task, deadline, reward and deposit. Use mission accept <number> with the number on the board.

Most jobs require a silver deposit. If your purse is short, the game can take the rest from your bank account. Completing the job returns the deposit; abandoning it or missing the deadline loses it. Some community jobs have no deposit.

Track and finish work

• mission lists your active work and deadlines.
• mission complete turns in your only ready mission in that province.
• mission complete <number> turns in one from your active list.
• mission complete all turns in all ready work for the current province.
• mission history shows completed jobs.

The numbers come from different lists. Accept with the number shown by read board. Complete or abandon with the current position shown by mission. Those positions can change after a job is removed.

For stone hauling, deliver accepted blocks to the storehouse yard with deposit all block or wagon deposit stone. Cutting or loading stone alone does not complete the delivery.

For material hauling to construction, use build deliver or the site's build deposit commands. Only material accepted at its destination counts. Full stores or a fully supplied stage leave surplus with you.

A building project may be able to wait, but your job still has its own deadline. Check mission before taking a break. mission abandon <number> gives up a job and costs its deposit and reputation.

Build standing and apply for citizenship

Cleanly completed jobs and local work earn reputation in that province. Higher standing opens more work and services. Type mission status to see your reputation, standing and citizenship requirements.

When eligible, return to that province and use mission citizen apply. The council decides whether to approve you. Your current reputation matters; it can fall while you are away.

Citizens get local benefits but no council vote. Citizenship is separate from council membership, and you can be a citizen in several provinces. mission citizen resign gives up citizenship without removing your reputation or standing.
